Originally from Eunice, Louisiana, Dr. Neal Aguillard studied biochemistry at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and attended medical school at LSU in Shreveport. He completed his internal medicine residency at Baptist Hospital in Memphis and a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

Dr. Aguillard begins each visit by listening to the concern that brought the patient in. He uses that conversation as the starting point for understanding their condition and planning their care.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys flying, hunting, and fishing.
