In this sleep study, we use a computer to display all of the functions of the body organs and organ systems while you are awake and asleep. We use microphones to record snoring, teeth grinding, chewing and talking. The microphones also enable you to communicate with us during the study. A body position sensor tells us how you’re lying on the bed, and infrared video cameras allow us to monitor your movements.
Multiple Sleep Latency Tests
These are daytime nap tests that we perform to diagnose sleep disorders such as Narcolepsy and Idiopathic Hypersomnolence Syndrome. We record all of the same systems during these tests as we do during a sleep study.
Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests
These are the daytime nap tests that we perform to see if you can stay awake in a sleep-conducive environment, such as a dark, quiet room.
